A business trip to Tokyo turns stressful due to booking issues and a tense negotiation, but ends with a sense of relief.

Negotiation Room
The destination of this business trip was Tokyo, but I had no expectations for this trip. The booked flight required a transfer, and the long wait during the transfer exhausted me. After arriving, I found that there was a problem with the hotel reservation; the front desk said they had no record of me. I had to rebook, which disrupted the entire itinerary.
Before the meeting started the next day, I confirmed all reservations again. The negotiation opponent was an experienced middle-aged man; he smiled and handed me a cup of tea. I noticed the watch on his wrist, exactly the same model as the one I saw during the transfer. The meeting went smoothly, but at the end he proposed an additional condition. After I refused, he left the room with a gloomy face.
That evening I had to adjust my itinerary, cancel the original flight, and rebook a later flight. While waiting for the transfer, I received a call from him. He said he was willing to accept my conditions, but asked me to extend the business trip. I refused and told him my schedule was full. He was silent for a while, then said: “Next time I go on a business trip, I will book everything in advance. ” I hung up the phone, looked at the crowd at the boarding gate, and felt a sense of relief.
